Her face looks sad or She looks sad?

Hi, I am confused with "Her face looks sad" and "She looks sad." I would like to know which one is a correct term when describing a picture, please help me.

Her face looks sad - I think this is grammatically correct, but I don't know if native speakers use this. The face doesn't have emotion, though it "Shows" emotion.

She looks sad - I think this one is common and correct.

Thank you for your help!
