Such nouns as 'nature', 'nation' or 'sea' are sometimes referred to by 'her'.
Is it the same kind as those words in French, German or other European languages which are called feminine nouns? Or is it the trace of it? Or it has nothing to do with such nouns of feminine gender?

I believe it has nothing to do with other languages. After all, English is not a romance language... and has a lot of peculiar features.

I believe it has nothing to do with other languages. After all, English is not a romance language... and has a lot of peculiar features.
In Italian, nature would be feminine, but sea would be masculine.
