Please... I need to know if it is correct to writte in a letter this phrase:

" I am pleased to get contact with you to thank the time and efforts to be with us at one very significant time for us"

What I want is to thank someone for her/his presence in a conference...

Top answer

I can understand that well enough, and I'd be pleased to get it, but it is not really English. " I don't like "significant" alone. What is the significance of the time?

"I am happy to have the opportunity to write to you to thank you for taking the time and trouble to be with us at this most significant time." I don't like "significant" alone. What is the significance of the time?
