Help;teaching ESL students speaking

Hi i am teaching in a middle school in China, most of my classes are great. I have done role-play and discussions and other techniques. However in some classes they haven't worked. Some class the students are completely silent and don't say a word. I'm afraid tht maybe my classes are boring. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to make my classes more interesting.

Thanks
waiting patiently for anyone who can help.

Can you identify which classes work best and which are silent? If most of your classes are great it's unlikely that you are boring! How long have you been in China, and what nationality are you?

Are you teaching a special subject (e.g. Business English), and what age are your students. Why do they want to learn English?
