Helping out a Foreigner

The following paragraph originally written by a student has been revised by me. Please help me correct it. Thanks a lot.

Helping out a Foreigner

When Jack went out for buying something to eat yesterday, he met a male foreigner who got lost in the street. Jack decided to step forward to help out the foreigner who actually came to Taiwan for the first time and intended to visit Taipei 101. Then, Jack gave directions to him and offered him some advice. He deeply appreciated Jack’s help and kindness. After Jack wished him a pleasant journey, they mutually said taking good care of oneself and said goodbye to each other. Jack and the male foreigner still keep in touch with each other, and they have become good friends.
