helping in analysing a complex sentence

hi guys,

i got a sentence here,

I organised the company's annual dinner for 300 people, which was well received.

I don't think the above sentence tells you clearly that the party was well received by all of the 300 people. how do i clearly express that it was a party for 300 people and all the 300 people liked it. would the below work, although inelegant?

I organised the company's annual dinner for 300 people, which was well received by the 300 people.

thank you very much

Hi Clive and all,

If I do not want to be specific about the number of people who liked it, and just want to emphasize that the party was for 1000 people, can i say,

I organised the company's annual dinner for 1000 people, which was well received.

I organised the company's annual dinner for 1000 people that was well recei

Hi,

I organised the company's annual dinner for 1000 people, which was well received.

This seems fine to me. The comma before 'which' marks the relative clause as non-restrictive.

You might possibly argue that the clause could be related either to the dinner or to the whole main clause (ie it was my organizing rather than the dinner itself th
