Help+gerund

Is it possible to use "HELP GERUND"? What would be the difference between it and an infinitive?

1 He helped me do it.

2 He helped me doing it.

3 They help each other cook, wash the dishes, and clean the kitchen every day.
4 They help each other cooking, washing the dishes, and cleaning the kitchen every day.

Or is it a participle rather than a gerund?
