Vocabulary

helpful or good natured

Hi, everybody!
I have one question.
He is a __________________because he is always friendly with everyone.
A. helpful B. good-natured C. honest D. quick-witted
I prefer A. helpful. Others say "good-natured" which I don't think it suits here. However, I personally think that this is a poor question. And if so, can anyone suggest a correction?
Can anyone help me?

Can you not imagine someone who is always cheerful, always saying hello to everyone, asking about their day, and being generally friendly, without actually being helpful? " However, I hope the "a" before the blank is a typo.

I agree with others who suggest "good natured." However, I hope the "a" before the blank is a typo.

I quite agree with you - Grammar Geek. "helpful" is very different from "friendly". "good-natured" sounds better though I think this is a poor question.

I also chose "good-natured" because "helful" is clearly different from "friendly", and "good-natured" is the most suitable answer.
