Helped save vs helped to save

Hello,

could somebody write me the diffrence in using of: helped save and helped to save

President Reagan helped save the ozone layer.

The Kharkiv agreements helped to save a country.

There is no difference. Placing "to" between "help" and another verb is optional. helped save = helped to save helped organize = helped to organize helps improve = helps to improve The same option exists when a noun phrase intervenes before "to": helped the country recover = helped the country to recover helps us understand = helps us to understand helped the students learn = helped the students to learn CJ

If I'm not mistaken, the verb help is unique is this respect. I don't believe there is any other verb with this unusual property.
