Helped

What's the difference between saying:

He's helped us built this place. And

He helped us built this place.

If the person is no longer helping but has helped in the past. Which is the correct sentence?

Thanks.

Hi
Your sentences should be:
He's helped us build this place. And
He helped us build this place.
About the differences, here is another explanation I would give:

Though both are correct to say, I feel it is the second one because the person is no longer helping(you said that). It is more focussed on past when compared to #1.

PreciousJonesI think it should be the second because the person who helped has already left and gone to greener pastures. Even though he left only recently. so: He helped us build this place.
Given the situation you describe, I agree with you completely.
