0 IMO, making a phone call is more polite than just a email or letter(especially important customers). Besides the returned purchase(or a change for a new one), you should promise the customer the good quality of the product(e.g."this kind of things never happened before") and btw, do you give warranty to your customer? I think it is necessary. 02br
