Which is correct?

I can't help wondering that I should have done that.
I can't help but wonder that I should have done that.

Neither seems quite usual to me. I would have expected these (and both are correct): I can't help wondering why I should have done that. I can't help but wonder why I should have done that.

Neither seems quite usual to me. I would have expected these (and both are correct):
