Help with writing a thesis from an objective prompt

OK I'm going to have to write 1 of 3 in class esays for an ap (college level but in high school) class. I certainly know how to correctly write a thesis statement, but I'm confused about a few parts because this prompt is extensive. "Discuss the development of the U.S. constitution begining with the weaknesses of the articles of confederation, including the constitutional convention (significant debates and compromises made) and concluding with the basic principles found in the document." Now normally I would just address the topic and state the analysis example (not for this topic) "the constitution was necessary becouse the articles of confederation were weak" please help me write a thesis staement for this topic it is difficult because it would be hard to cover all the points that are in the prompt... also I can not restate the prompt in any way. Thanks for your help
