Help with wording a thesis statement

I need some help with wording my thesis statement - I need to basically say that the economic and political situation in the 1790s, along with the overall social persona of America during that time period, influenced the early American foreign policy in the 1790s. Here's what I have come up with so far, any suggestions?:

"The formation of political parties along with the post-war economic situation during the 1790s influenced the early American foreign policy."
