Help with word choice

I was wondering if there is a specific word that conveys the meaning of the recognition of one's skills/expertise, which is earned by a degree. I friend has been questioning my me and showing that my field is not that important. So, is the correct word to use is acknowledgment, as in, I don't need your acknowledgment.

I would appreciate your help.

It is kind of hard to explain. He basically does not approve of my field of expertize and keeps questioning our knowledge, so I just want to say that who are you to give such an opinion and validate our profession. So, what do you think? is recognition, acknolwedgment, or cinfirmation the right word?

It is also hard to say without the full context of the exchange. Any of those terms might work. Or just 'respect'.

Basically, I want to say you are not the person who is eligible to evaluate my skills or qualification. Your opinion is not important!

Then just say that:

You are not eligible to evaluate my skills or qualifications. Your opinion is not important!
