Help with topic, "The Important things in life endure over time"

I'm suppose to write about this topic, "The Important things in life endure over time" but to tell you the truth I can't quite make sense of it. "Things in life", is this refering to something in general or events in someone's life? "Endure over time" is probably what's throwing me off the most as I don't quite understand what it means. I know it's silly, but I guess I havn't heard it used much.

Can I get some quick help with this? Just a better understanding of the topic is what I need. I need this ready by tomorrow so I'm hoping to write it in the morning after reading your replies, if any ^^.

Thanks in advance.

"endure over time" means it will last for a long time; suggesting either the age of a person or many people. (In this case, I think it would refer to the author's life because of the topic.)
