help! with statment

Could somebody check this please?
Grammar, spelling, appropriate wording...


It was already the third year of my interest in computer science and computer graphics, especially in the field of web design and graphics in games. I was working on a new layout for my website, which contains my poems, short stories and other works. I had problems with implementing the graphical layers on the main image and with an element in the style sheet. Knowing that I should study more about those problems, I searched the web for some guidelines. After two hours of reading and applying the newly learned things nothing really changed, and I still could not go on.

Another week brought new fresh ideas, which fortunately led to finalization of the project.


However, during that busy week I noticed that even if I started to loose patience I would need a minimal amount of time to cool down and continue the project. Mistakes I have done encouraged me to work harder, rather than pushed me away.


Days passed and two thoughts constantly returned to my mind. The first: “The more I know, the more I need to learn.” which is caused by the fact that the more I read about graphics, methods, programming systems and learn how to use them, another few sets of questions and/or goals appear on the horizon.

The second thought is: “To be successful in life and enjoy it you need to devote yourself to something that will attracts you, even if at first everything goes wrong.”


This is why I searched for and university and course that could help me learn, develop skills and fully enjoy life at the same time. It turned out that the greatest chances of this to happen I will have while studding in the UK. After thinking it through I decided that once I finish the second year in the IB school, where all subjects are taught in English, continuing education in London would be the best option.


After graduating, I would like to continue this path and I would like work in the game industry or as a web designer.

I strongly believe that during studies and further work I will not have to give up other interests like cinema and movies, Japanese animation, writing poems and short stories. I also plan to carry out some of the aspects of my voluntary work, like collecting products for poor children. Apart from all above, I will go out with friends and visit my family, because even with the whole life in a sketch plan, they are the fundament of my life.
