Help with short sentences

Can somebody please comments the English?

1- Unfortunately, I will not be able to finish my master within the allocated time mainly due to problems in recruiting American doctors for one of the studies of my master work.

2- After a discussion with my advisors, we have come out with a plan to deal with underpowered study. We also have decided to stop the data collection by the end of January 2010.
