Help with sentence analysis would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings all.
I am at a loss with a gramatic analysis of some sentences in which I am supposed to specify their primary constituents (e.g. S, V, DO, IO, A, SP, OC) and also state the material of each sentence constituents (e.g. NP, VP, AdjP, AdjP, AdjP, AdvP, PP, finite clause, non-finite clause)

Somehow I just can't see to comprehend and apply all the grammatical abbreviations without an overwhelming sense of confusion. I'm still trying to grasp it all. If someone would be so kind to help me out with the following sentences, I would be very grateful.

"1. He told me yesterday."

b) "2. The young man had to tell his father that he had wrecked the car. "

c) "3. He told his old mother a cock-and-bull story about working overtime."

d) " 4. As we did not receive your letter, we ask you to send another."

e) " 5. She found it stupid to tell lies when the truth would be known anyway."

Thank you very much.
