Help with semi-colons. Attempting to construct a sequence

Hi all,

I'm writing a piece on climate change currently and have a short description of carbon capture technology:

Fixed-point CCS is a three-stage process. First, CO2 is stripped from fossil fuel emissions at industrial sites and compressed into its liquid state; next, the liquid carbon is either trucked or piped to sequestration (capture) sites and finally; the liquid CO2 is injected deep underground into porous rock.

If possible I was wondering if anyone could help me tidy this up? I'm really unsure about how to go about stringing together multiple steps within a single sentence, or if my use of semi-colons is even appropriate here.

Thanks!

Fixed-point CCS is a three-stage process. First, CO2 is stripped from fossil fuel emissions at industrial sites and compressed into its liquid state. Next, the liquid carbon dioxide is either trucked or piped to sequestration (capture) sites. And finally, it is injected into porous rock formations which are deep underground.
