Could you please help me with these? Rephrase it or explain.
1. Being dissed to a standstill - does this mean being shocked by an insult or disrespect?
2. 1. I guess so. It's rather slang-y, but your guess makes sense.
2. This is a very convoluted sentence. It seems that Hitler is unspeakable, and according to the author [no editorial comments from readers on this please, we are doing sentence analysis only!], in the Arab world Hitler is still admired.

I agree it is rather complicated sentence. But I think you are right. When I look at it better, I think it is actually an awkward apposition and it should read like this:
...Napoleon and Adolf Hitler, the unspeakable but considerably successful and still admired, at least in the Arab world.

I think probably "reaching out electronically" in (3) refers to her first actions after waking up - switching on electric gadgets: first the radio, then the hot water for a shower, then the coffee maker...
