Help with paragraph.

Hello, is the paragraph below correct?

Sarah Mckenize stood on the porch shivering in the cold. She watched her
Grandfather hitched two horses to a wagon. He paused and cast her a worry
look. "Stay close to the house, Sarah. The Doolin gang have been holding up
the stagecoaches. The old man took a huge bite of tobacco and chewed.
"I hate to leave you with so much happening, but the letter from your brother's
friend said he's in big trouble."

"I'll be fine, Grampa Edward, besides somebody has to stay and take care of the animals."
