Help with my sentence

Hi. I'm writing a story and having trouble with this on particular sentence. All help will be appreciated. Emotion: smile

I'm not sure about the following sentences. Are they all incorrect?
1. "I've had one too many drinks for a civil conversation to happen."
2. "I've had one too many drinks in order to have a civil conversation."
3. "I've had one too many drinks to engage in a civil conversation."

Also, I'm thinking about the adjective. Assuming that the speaker is a slightly drunk woman who doesn't want to tell that she finds her partner attractive and is now scared that she might say something that might tip him off. What adjective would be best in this occasion? I've thought about proper/appropriate/decent/civil/courteous… but can't really tell which one would be best.

Thank you in advance!
