Help with my paper.

Hi, i just find this site and was reading around to post in the right thread. Hopefully this is it. This essay is about a book that I had read. Its a short essay, half of a page. i just want to say thank ahead if anyone have the time to read this.

The Huntsman

The Huntsman is written by a first time writer, Whitney Terrell. The novel scenes are in Kansas City, back when racism wre still being publicly displayed. THe novel is about a black man named Booker Short and his involvement with the murdered of Clarrisa Sayers. The theme of the novel was the separation of classes and races. The novel putted al these characters together, that would probably never met in a different situation. While there are a lot of characters in the story, Booker was the only character that developed into a dynamic character. And the setting is in KC, where Terrell is comfortable to explore.
The Huntsman doesn't really had any complex characters, beside Booker Short. All of the characters has their own nightmars and past mistakes that haunted them. There is no hero in this novel. Even Booker is depicted as an anti-hero, but he does show remorsed toward the dead of Clarissa and Mercury by saying he was sorry, sorry that they were dead because they had met him (347). Bookers is a protagonist character. He tried to brought justince to Clarrisa by getting Judge Sayers caught for killing his own daughter. But in the end, Booker knews that he couldn't changed anything. In my opinion, Booker's is not a bad guy, but he tends to meet people who gets him in trouble.
Terrell used the setting of Kansas City, because the city is buried in injustice, racism, crime, killing, murder, and society differences. He also used Country Club as a place where Clyde Wilkens described as, "Where no black man had ever so much as bent a blade of grass on the Colonial Country Clubs first tee" (88). Showing how separated white peoples were from the blacks, Whitney protrayed how the white peoples would moved to the middle of nowhere and started to build their own cities, made names like Santa Fe, Prairie Village, and Overland Park. The separation of high annd low classes created a barrier far more segregated than what Troost street has made (194). Terrell revealed that the low class lived in the ghetto, where babies got shot in their crib and bullets flied from the back of sedan (195). In other workd, Kansas city is not such a great place to reside.
The novel wasnt' entirely bad, but there are some things that Terrell needed to improved. Terrell novel made no attempted to connected with the readers'. There is no emotion or memont of sadness. When Booker was talking to Stan about how he couldn't saved Mercury and Clarissa, Terrell doesn't expressed how Booker was at the moment, how was he acting, reacting, and feeling, and even though the scene was supposed to be sad, it was wrote with no sense of feeling with what the character was feeling (333). It's seemed like Terrell was trying too hard to wrote the best novel, that he forget the essence of a good written novel. Terrell doesn't seemed to confident in his characters, so he tended to wrote useless characters, as a filler to the plot. All of the characters seemed to be one dimension in this novel. There were no big twist or characters development. There are scenes in the novel that didn't needed to be known about and some scenes that were just a waste of the readers' time.
Overview, the novel The Huntsman is based in Kansas City, Missouri. The novel told a story about a young black man, Booker Short and the murdered of Clarrisa Sayers. It seemed that the theme of the whole novel as about separation of the high class and the low class' white an black. The novel pointed out the injustice and discrimination that the rich white peoples has against the black peoples. While Terrell's writing weren't all that good, but he does made it up by wroting an easy and understandable novel.
