Help with motivational letter

Hi my name is Tobias, from Namibia, am applying to a local university and need to write a motivational letter. I 've written one but am not really sure if it measures up, I would be greatful if you can point me into the right direction. Feel free to criticize.

Dear Sir/Madam

I am applying for the Degree of Honors in Logistics offered by the ............., with the intention of going on to study for Master degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and perusing a career in Logistics and Supply chain Management . I am currently in my final semester of the Bachelor's degree of Economics at the University of Namibia, having passed all my major subjects, I am overly confident and optimistic that I will be graduating next year and will be ready to commence with the study program at the discretion of the ............ I believe that I have gained the necessary skills and competencies to successfully complete post graduate work, as I am at the moment carrying out my research project which is probably the most vital component of any post graduate program. The Honors degree in Logistics will give me the opportunity to take a major step towards achieving my true potential and reaching my most desired goal that of being in the transport and logistics industry.

I would describe my self as a motivated and well disciplined youth, with the ability to interact well with different people from all works of life. My optimism has always been my strongest virtue and the faith in god my parents have instilled in me have given me unwavering strength and understanding. Since my second year at varsity I had an interest in transportation and trade, this interest grew as I entered my third year where I was introduced to international trade and international finance, this introduced me to the concepts of trade and importance of the transport industry in economic development. This was not enough to quench my curiosity though, and by chance I stumbled upon an advert in the newspaper about the logistics program to be introduced by the .................. Therefore I would like to assure you of my commitment, including financial obligations, as I have already arrange for finances

The reason I have chosen to pursue further studies at the .............. is because of its powerful vision, leadership and innovation that is clearly lacking in our education institutions, this assures me that I am going to receive the very best education Namibia has to offer. Therefore on this note I would like to thank the Management and everyone involved in the running of this institution for the quality services they are giving to the Namibia society, it will truly go a long way in developing Namibia into an industrialized nation.
