Help with meanings

Hello! everybody,
I never heard of the following sentences and phrases which came in a movie:

(1) This here's a dandy.
(2) A staged arrest for your own protection.
(3) Puff with him.
(4) Don't make the sense God gave a mule.
(5) Just for the God damn hell of it.

I'd never heard the 'puff' expression before. Is it strictly British? Isn't there another use of the word 'puff', as in a man's lack of interest in the fairer ***?

I've not met it before, but in the context of the other quotes it would seem to make sense. The "along with him" implies something must be done to keep things on an

Hi guys,
3) Puff with him.

I've never encountered this. My first reaction is that it must have been another word, simply misheard in the movie.
