Help with lesson plan!

Question

Imagine you are going to teach a class of 7 year olds. The objective is that the learners use basic food vocabulary in English by identifying different foods and expressing their likes and dislikes. Plan a 30 minute lesson.

See what you can do on your own first. What foods appeal to seven-year-olds? What foods do they find disgusting? You'll have to think a little bit like someone that age. Write a few lists of these.
What verbs will they need? like, dislike, any others? List some.

What grammatical patterns would you like them to master?
I like ..., and ... I like ...

I like ..., but I don't like ...
I don't like ..., but I like ...
Do you have enough time for more patterns? Different tenses?

I used to like ..., but now I don't like ... anymore.
and so on ... But maybe there won't be enough time.

In other words, you have to start with a lot of lists -- more than you think you need -- and then trim it down to what fits in your 30-minute time period.
Next you'll need to decide how you're going to get them to participate. What sorts of dialogs can you have them learn and act out? Any games or game-like activities you can use? Are you going to have them speak only? Or write as well? What props are you going to bring to class? Plates, glasses, cups? Real food? Or are you going to simulate this with pictures?

While none of us here can just hand you a lesson plan that is sure to work for your particular situation, maybe the questions above will get your ideas flowing a little.
