1) The room is too obscure for reading. (means too dark)
1) The meaning of this sentence is obscure. (Hidden meaning behind, therefore hard to understand)
2) He made an ambiguous promise. (Can be yes or no)
2) That idea is ambiguous. (No concrete and no define clearly)
3) I have a vague memory of seeing you before. (No certain about my memory)
3) I have a vague memory of have been here. (No certain about my memory)
3) I vaguely remember that I have been here or I have seemed you before.
3) My pain on my back is vague. (No clearly define the problem is, uncertain)
3) His idea is vague. (Lack of the knowledge as he has no idea what he was talking about)
