Help with explaining a past story

I was so excited to see this fort that i woke up 5am in the morning. Packed my cam bag and i was all set to go. After reaching there i found out that it was a bit too early. The fort opened at 9:00.

Please correct it if there's any problem in it one big confusion that i have is, should i use "The fort would open at 9:00 in the morning" or its alright the way i wrote.

zee7 Please correct it if there's any problem in it The big mistake is that the word "i" is not a valid word. To be valid, it must be a capital letter. Also, in your second sentence, the verb "packed" needs a subject.

Thanks for pointing out the mistake. Is there any problem with the sentences? I'm doubtful about the last line "The fort would open at 9:00" or it should be "The fort opened at 9:00"

zee7fort would open at 9:00" or it should be "The fort opened at 9:00"
Both are possible. In the first you are effectively reporting the thought "The fort will open ..." and in the second "The fort opens ...". The first is a (true) future-time situation and the second a (true) general-time situation.
