Help with caption

I would like to post a picture of me at a conference in Canada, and I am wodering if it is OK to start the caption with "In the City" rather than at the event. Here is the sentence:

In Montreal Canda at the International Diabetes Conference, where I presented our study results on Statins and CVD.

So is it fine to start with the Country and then followed by the event as in the above sentence?

Thanks!

That's OK. You can put a phrase of location (at school; in my house; in the forest, etc.) at the beginning or at the end of a sentence (or caption).
