Imagine that you are teaching a multi-cultural group of business English students in an English-speaking country. You have 6 male and 6 female students in your group. They are an upper intermediate group. They are currently working on a whole group case study in their textbook about a beer company. They need to create an advertising campaign for a new light beer. This campaign should include a TV commercial and a poster. Answer each of the following questions in 50-75 words:
What problems might arise in this situation?
Some of the students in class may come from a culture where alcohol is prohibited.
Some students in the class may be too shy to participate in making a T.V commercial.
What could you do to avoid or minimise these problems as they arise?
Pre teach the class about alcohol, the effects and how widely drunk in certain countries it is. Also you could show an advert on a local beer showing how popular it is.
Split the group into two team’s one team focusing on the poster and the other focusing on the commercial.
What could you do in the future to modify the task to avoid these problems?
I would have a discussion with the students about what they know about alcohol, and explain in certain countries that it is widely and easily accessible.
These are my answers i just need to get another answer for the last question. i just cant think of anything if someone could help me i would appreciate it?? thank you.
