Hello - I need help. Which sentence is correct?

1. She shakes soil off a root

2. She shakes soil off of a root

3. She shakes soil out of a root

2. She shakes soil off of a root You hear a lot of people say this, but in my opinion it is not yet standard English.

3. She shakes soil out of a root Incorrect.

You need periods at the end.

Thank you Clive. I always wonder about option #2 too. It doesn't look right at all, but I always see people doing it.

You're also right about the periods. I have no business finishing a sentence without a period.
