Help with a long clause

As comprehensive inquiries were not made about the concept of beauty as were made into the concepts of “truth”, “knowledge” and “good"

Is the clause above in proper order or does it have to be rearranged? Thanks in advance.

Hi, It's OK. But I had to read it twice to grasp the meaning. Why didn't you put beauty in quotes?

Hi,

Thanks, I was translating and this clause was only part of a sentence, and seeing as I copied that and pasted here it seems that I have skipped the period. I wasn't going to end the sentence without a period in my work anyway but thanks. About the quotes, the text I was translating had truth, knowledge and good in quotes but it didn't have any quotes for beauty.
