help to understand "been"

Hello, i am happy. you'r doing great job. i am confused about a word a past participle "been" some time it us as for duration and for other purpose which i don't know so, my question is about the uses of "been" with example and i confuse when i see "been" means i can't judge the "been" past participle use for duration or it has other meaning. i am going to give some examples which are given below and please add some your examples with "been" participle and with explanation. My 5th example is not related to my topic but i want to the "faded" past participle use as participle adjective.

1) I didn't tell Sam what happened. he wouldn't have been pleased
2) I have been teacher for a year
3) I have been teacher
4)Has ever been a war in united state.
5) I am faded.

These are correct:

1) I didn't tell Sam what happened. He wouldn't have been pleased.
2) I have been a teacher for a year.
3) I have been a teacher.
4) There was once a war in the United States.

#5 is no good and I don't know what it means.
