The video game "Harry Potter" is based on the movies "Harry Potter 1, Harry Potter 2 and Harry Potter 3. While the producers of the video game had no way of being able to integrate every last detail of the movies into the game, they did the best they could to similarize the video game and the movies [make the two as similar as they could be]. Since every last detail isn't in the game, it's basically a summary of the 3 movies that make up the video game.
