Weapons of Mass Destruction
Humanity versus humanity can be hell on earth. Humans have made guns and different kinds of weapons, but the worst thing is that humans have made weapons of mass destruction. Examples of this are the atomic bomb, biological arms, and chemical weapons. These weapons are made to kill or infect whatever they touch. Also, these are used for supremacy and dictatorship around the world. No one should have the right or the tools to develop this kind of weapons because they have brought wars, deaths and dictatorship to this world.
Many countries are making weapons of mass destruction to intimidate and discourage others countries to use them. They want to protect their Country and people of death, but at the same time are creating a weapon to kill many innocent people around the world. In addition a Country that creates a weapon is encouraging others to develop a stronger or create a new weapon. This is a process that will never end unless they get rid of the ones that already have and stop making more. If there are no weapons of Mass destruction, there will not be any fear and no excuses of making them.
Now wars are made because a country doesn’t want other countries to develop and save these weapons. An example of this is the Iraq war in which the United States invaded Iraq in March 2003. The discovery and destruction of Saddam’s chemical and biological weapons were the chief reasons given by the Bush administration for going to war. There were many rumors of a connection between Saddam’s and al-Qaeda. This rumor was just an excuse to support the war since they have not found any weapons of mass destruction. Moreover, there are few countries that posses nuclear weapons; USA, Russia, England, France, and China. Also, there are other countries, which possession of nuclear arms is just a guess. These are few countries which possession is known, but they have enough arms to kill all life in world if there is a big war.
Anthrax is a good example of weapons of mass destructions. Anthrax is a chemical type of weapon. This weapon is more likely to be use by small terrorist groups because it is easy to obtain, is cheap and easy to transport. Even though there are different effects on them the purpose is to make sick or kill a person. There have been many anthrax attacks; such as the 2001 anthrax attack in the United States which occurred for several weeks after the 9/11 attack. Letters containing anthrax were mailed to a total of 18 people, including postal, office, and hospital workers, in seven states had been infected by the virus; five people had died.
Dictatorship is also associated with weapons of mass destructions. Weapons have give power to those who creates them. Because people know the power of the weapons they fear of those who haves them. They are controlled and with no rights. Iraq people were victims of dictatorship by Saddam Hussein. They will be murdered and tortured by Hussein army if they will spoke out or complaint about Hussein dictatorship. Hussein attacked the Kurds of Iraq with tanks, heavy artillery, infantry and a particularly powerful weapon. Saddam Hussein used his weapons to kill many of his own people. This is why many people feared of him.
In conclusion, weapons of mass destruction; are lethal for life on the world and have been throughout history. They have been used to kill, control and, to badly defend their country or beliefs. In addition, as technology grows these arms become powerful. They should stop making these weapons and focused their attention on better thinks. One solution is that instead of being spending billions making these arms, they should spend billions on building better communities and finding cures for diseases that these weapons have spread.
