Isaac Newton was an excellent scientist, his contribution to the French Revolution was

his work and thought processes that were inspired to the following eras, but he had no

physical contribution to the French Revolution, for his physical mind had been long

defunct. But with many of his great calculations, Isaac Newton’s changed how the way

people understood a few things about the universe instead of being clueless.

Isaac Newton was able to change the way people think and not make people use religion

to explain everything. This includes justifying the absolute monarch's position, and all

others that could not be prove except religion. People started to know more about the

Universe and learned about Newton’s theory on universal gravitation, theory about the

nature of light, and three laws of motion. With his theories, he had cleared many

unanswered facts that was only had been able to explain religiously. With all the laws

Newton made, religion was not as imperative because Newton was able to prove facts

with real proof. By changing the way people think, he had also made people to rebel

against the king which was the reason to French Revolution.

Isaac Newton was part of the “Enlightenment” which was a big cause to the French

Revolution. The Age of Enlightenment was an intellectual movement that was influential

in the 18th century Europe. Strongly influenced by the growth of modern science and by

the aftermath of the long religious disagreement that followed the Reformation, the

thinkers of the Enlightenment were committed to materialistic views based on reason or

human understanding only, which they hoped would provide a basis for good changes

affecting every area of life and thought. Back in the Middle Ages, people often did not

understand the causes of event they experienced; events were often recognized to God,

superstition, witchcraft or mysterious forces. By being in the Enlightenment had changed

the way how Enlightenment would be, which also changed the way people think about

the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment influenced the middle class, which was a big part

of French Revolution, by changing the way the middle class think, resulted in French

Revolution. The enlightenment showed that there need to be more individual rights, and

the middle class revolted against the king for extra freedom. Enlightenment was one of

the main causes why French Revolution happened because they were able to change how

the way people think.

Isaac Newton mainly did not have any physical contribution to the French Revolution,

because he passed away before the French Revolution has happened, but he changed the

way a lot of people think. By shifting the way the middle class thinks, made them revolt

against the king for independence. Also, by knowing true facts about the universe

formulate ideas more scientifically rather than religiously. So Newton did not do

anything to the French Revolution, but it’s how he had made a difference to people’s

mind.
