Please check the contents of my letter for errors. Is there any other word which could be replaced for contents?

Please check this sentence and tell me if it sounds correct: I liked the way he was portrayed in the movie, especially I liked his transition from a mean to a caring guy.

I think you need an "and" after your comma. Perhaps also, "from being a mean (and selfish?) guy to a (kind and) caring guy.

1. I believe a comma is needed after 'movie', not a semi-colon.

2. magnificient ( should be magnificent )
