"She threatened him to go to prison." Not correct.

Say eg She threatened him with prison. (meaning that he would go to prison)

"We received information that they are gone."

Is article needed in this sentence? No, but 'the' is acceptable.

'An' is wrong, because 'information' is an uncountable noun.
