Help on two sentences

Hi. Please help. Which is correct? Perhaps are both correct? Then what is the difference?

(telling others in a narrative fashion and starting the story with this sentence)

1. This is the story about a boy who has died.

2. This is the story about a boy who died.

(saying to others how peaceful he is at heart)

1. What peace I have.

2. What a peace I have.

1. This is a story about a boy who died. The simple past tense in stories is more reasonable to me.

2. What a peaceful attitude I have! You can't say 'What peace I have' because it doesn't make sense.
