The Troubled Public Transportation System in the Big Cities

The pulic transportation system(PTS) is becoming critical part of lot of people's day life. However, the situation of PTS is far below people's expectation.

First of all, the service delivered by PTS is not reliable as required. Thousands of commuters rely on PTS to go to work every day. But the delay and cancellation is far above the acceptable levle. This is waste of society resources.

Secondly, no service for many suburbs around the CBD. This forces people living in the afftected areas have not other practical choices but driving. As a result, it proves to be a big impact on the road. More and More congestions and traffic jams happen on increasing number roads. In some worst scenariao, the whole tranportation system beak down.

Last but not the least, maintanence of the exsiting PTS is much behind the recommendation. This leads to a posible disaster.

Above all, urgent attention to PTS is required. In order to avoide total failure in the near future, more effort and funds should be focus on this section.
