I'm having a bit of trouble with the following questions would someone be able to explain which answers are correct please!
1. Which one of the following pairs of words is a minimal pair for a pair of English sounds? a) day & they b) fall & balls c) stretch & chase d) flap & flags
2. Which of the following words is pronounced with a consonant cluster in Australian English? a) hoops b) race c) the d) march
3. Which of the following words is pronounced with a diphthong in Australian English? a) stand b) through c) race d) with
4. Which one of the following words normally has stress on the second syllable? a) sometimes b) beside c) pictures d) inside

I was waiting for an Australian to reply, because either the questions are poor or AusE is much more different than I had thought it was. Here are my opinions:
1. B (fall and *****) -- No. A minimal pair has only ONE sound difference, but these have two (f/b and x/s). 2. D (March) -- To me, A, C and D all exhibit consonant clusters (ps, th and ch). 3. B (through) -- None c
