Help needed urgently!!!

Have some questions….

Kind of urgent….

So, if anyone willing to help, it will be much appreciated……

********************

The intense project had only four days left (A) to an important client board meeting as I learned that the (B) associate on my team had just been asked to resign, due to the worsening market conditions.

She had been in control of the forthcoming presentation and was my closest supervisor on the team. Sad for my colleague and friend, I also feared the project would suffer greatly, and informed the vice president on the team that we needed reinforcements.

Realizing that I probably had the best understanding of the process (C) after this, I took on a leadership role on the project.

…….

I made certain we (D) talked to the relevant people to complete our qualitative analysis.

****************

1. Does (A) ‘to’ mean ‘until’?

2. (B) associate. Is it same with a ‘partner’?

3. (C) after this… What does it mean? Process in pursuit of this? Or process after some situation?

3. (D) talked…. Here, ‘talk’ is more correct? Like, “she demands that he go with him’.
