This is what I understand so far:

I think he tries to say "for anyone [I think he means to anyone?], didn't matter, any old ****", but he fluffs his words.
On first listening I thought the next part was "... write one, sit up" (i.e. stay up late writing a song), but I'm not certain at all.
He says "wanted" not "wanting".
