Kerry, a candidate for president in US, lost an election. Because of Kerry’s attitude of facing with the failure of presidential election, I am so proud of him from the bottom of my heart. He acknowledged that we couldn’t be able to win this election and offer Bush our congratulation on their victory before the end if counting all voters in Ohio.

I think he really demonstrated a political paradigm most politicians in Taiwan must learn it that can enable to help our political system move toward the mature way.

I know this is difficult for loser to claim that Taiwan is in need of unity, and we should work together for the good of our country. However, I would like to take the example of kerry to suggest that the opposition party leader, Lien, can do something like this. If you are willing to do that, you can get an excellent reputation for a great statesman. Conversely, if you don’t do that, you will be remembered as a trouble- maker of social turmoil. Consequently, Taiwan is plunged into extremely uncertain situation after you insist on holding many colossal demonstrations to challenge a fact that Chen Shui-bian was re-elected by the majority of citizens’ choice.

There is no doubt that all people want to know who is assassinator and what his motivation is to shoot Chen Shui-bian during the final campaigning day. After a series of processes of sophisticated investigation, I bet that if the incident of assassination is fake for cause of voter’s compassion, most people, including DPP’s partisan, will blame him for the trick. Eventually, people would lawfully overthrow the false government, and he will get notorious for Pinocchio figure with the trick.

For the overall development of nation to improve, both the ruling party and the opposition party have to be clam to negotiate and decrease the hostile attitude each other by the rational methods. Form my point of view; there are no losers, because whoever won the presidential election, the next morning we all wake up as Taiwanese. We still contribute ourselves to create a more wonderful environment in which our next generation can live.
