Dear Madam, dear Sir,

Currently working for XXXX in Paris as project manager, my career objective is to develop in the field of human resources with a special focus on international projects. I would like to apply for XXX

While fostering an excellent employer´s image towards potential candidates, I became more and more confronted with China; either to develop partnerships with Chinese educational institutions or by recruiting Chinese students currently enrolled at a European university.

Moreover China being one of XXXX target countries, I would like to acquire a first insight of China economic environment and culture and have therefore selected this 4 week seminar.

China is without doubt a market of strategic importance for most international firms and especially for the aerospace industry; indeed China’s market potential in this field is enormous and largely under developed. But beyond the impact of such an economic development, it is also the world's most populous nation's and its culture which will open to the rest of the globe. In an ever more globalized world such phenomenon are creating a highly increasing interdependence and complexity of political, economic, social and cultural processes. This has its impact on individuals but also on business issues.

XXXXX internationalization policy’s impact on HR is manifolds; on the one hand more and more XXXXX employees are and will be involved in cross national teamwork, educational cooperation are also a potential resource for international recruitments but on the other hand the knowledge of “new” countries such as China is completely insufficient.

This is why I would like to gain a better understanding of the Chinese market and culture on the one hand to be able to support XXXXX HR strategy and to then define what is at stake for XXXXX from an HR point of view, but on the other hand to discover a rising country, a new culture which is largely unfamiliar for me.

I am highly motivated to study and I would like to tackle these complex issues with the help of analytical and methodological techniques that courses such as “Strategy Management in China” or “Chinese Financial Markets “will offer. The combination of MBA teaching methods and practical experience will help me to create awareness and an appreciation for this country, in terms of its political, economic, social, technological and business perspective and generate immediate ROI.

I am also looking forward to the networking opportunities generated by the diversity of profiles attending this seminar. I want to learn and work together with students and teachers form all over the world. I have always sought such challenging surroundings either during my studies: summer school at UCLA in 1998 or exchange program in Oregon in 2000. I face similar international environment at XXXXX working on a daily basis with colleagues from all over Europe and reporting to a hierarchy based in Munich.

Last but not least, I also believe that the management courses combined are a useful addition to my current education that I can use for my later professional career.

I honestly feel confident that the XXXX would enable me to achieve both academic advancement and personal growth. Therefore I would be glad to receive the opportunity to study this summer at Tsinghua University.
