Our company will hold its annual banquet on the evening of August 24, 2007, and we are in the process of selecting a venue. We plan to have [number] of people attending.

Is your facilty availale on that night? If so, please provide information about yout catering packages. I would like to know specifically about the various menus, dining rooms and other banquet facilities, and the associated charges. I would also like to know about parking (we expect about 50 cars).

You definitely need to let them know how many people you expect - that will determine the size of the room, etc. At this point, it's also quite possible that they are booked for that date, so you might as well ask them that up front as well. Parking is generally considered of lesser important and should be a factor after the menu and such.

Edited: I wrote this before I saw your other post, which I have now joined to this thread. Please don't post the same thing twice.

Note that phrasing such as "I am writing to enquire whether we would to like to know about detail information your hotel" makes no sense. How could the hotel possibly tell you whether want to know something? Only YOU know whether you want to know something. Likewise "You are started thinking about a good place to hold it" - why is the hotel starting to think about a good place to hold YOUR event. This sounds like you took an assignment and dropped it right into a letter without changing any of the pronouns.
