The use of social media is replacing face-to-face interaction among many people in society. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
Social media which are globally prevailing, is replacing face-to-face interaction among many people in society. We can’t deny the wonderful benefits of social networks, but it’s a controversial issue whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. In my view of point, I do believe the pros and cons have a vague border, depending on how we use it. However, I’m inclined to positive influences of social media for several reasons below.
To begin with, the good points, using social media can meet the demand of almost all fields surrounding us.
The first one is communication, a basic need of people. It helps us to keep in touch with our relatives and friends via a device with an Internet connection. Moreover, we can even interact with people who are abroad.
Secondly, Social media is a useful tool to keep updated with the current community. This is because online networks include a variety of information about politics, economy, society, education, which are updated quickly. For example, we stay at home but get the latest news about the covid 19 pandemic domestically, even globally.
Another plus point is its benefits in improving educational levels. For students, they not only acquire more practical knowledge for their studying but also exchange problems related to lessons they don’t entirely understand. A typical instance for that is that social media assistance during covid 19 pandemics when students have limitations to learn directly at school.
