Subject: Do you agree or disagree with following statement? Children should begin studying a foreign language as soon as they start school.

Learning a foreign language at early ages would be fun but I think it's something to be done later. Children need to learn much more important things than a foreign language. A child needs math and basic definitions of science in early ages to be prepare for advanced ones.

First of all, children need to learn writing and reading in their own language. Without these skills learning a foreign language would be practice of just speaking. Hard work of language learning may cause detests from school among children.

School environment should be a place of fun and learning. Children must learn without stress or hard working. They must have time for playing. Time and hard work is two most important factors of learning a goring language, which children wouldn't like.

People who learn their own language wholly can learn other languages faster and more easily. So training children their own language better and deeper will prepare them to learn new ones. In this process a child learn the learning technique and know world better. S/he knows that a foreign language is something like their own language with some differences.

I think children should learn some basic skills for life. Reading, Writing, Know ways of solving problems and skills like these should be taught to them first. A child who learned these skills very well will be ready for exploring new world. This child can learn a foreign language like other ability and can understand it wholly. In this age, the child can read books in foreign language and can write in that language's alphabet.
