Help me with these sentences please

1. the workers demanded that their pay would be raised from the following week on. 2. the workers demanded that their pay be raised from the following week on. If these two sentences are both wrong, can any one suggests a right one?

It's unidiomatic and unnecessary to say 'on' here.

Preposition "on" not necessary, "on" can be omitted. Since it is a demand and unfinished, not "would" but "should" since it is in the future.Nicest,"the workers demanded a pay increase from the following week".
